About
My Mission
Chronic illness is isolating and painful. My mission is to provide a positive and genuine environment for people who suffer from illness. I intend to do this by sharing my story, giving advice I've learned through the years of these medical problems, and interacting with people who share my struggles. Since I am a teenager, I would specifically like to reach out to kids, and young adults who have chronic illnesses. Its a rarity that young people get sick this young, so we often have no one our age to be able to share experiences with, or relate to in anyway. No one should have to go through all of this feeling alone and isolated.
Another part of my mission is to raise awareness for chronic illness. The illness I feel most passionate about is Ehlers Danlos Syndrome, because that is the condition that most impacts me. Advocating is important to me because when people are aware of chronic illness, it will help them to better understand what we deal with. My hope is that one day, chronic illness won't be seen as a burden. I want people to have empathy for our conditions, and view us as strong warriors.
This blog will be filled with nothing but encouragment. Being sick is difficult enough between dealing with bad doctors, mean people, and fighting a long and difficult battle with our bodies each and every day. We need a little sunshine. Spread positivity, and keep fighting! Rejoice in the trials God has allowed us to endure.
